Re: Campbell for a girl!

Well you can deffinately use Madison because so many other people are but I can't say I really like it. The problem I have with a lot of the surnames that people use for girls are their obvious masculine sound or meanings! Such as Madison has that 'son' part in it and it means 'son of Maud'! Campbell may have that 'bell' part in it (I know it's not pronounced camp-bell) that may seem feminine to people but it's such a strong Scottish surname and I hate to see it degraded like this and turned into a trendy girls name! Turner is very very masculine to me and is an old occupational surname not at all cute or feminine!
I'm sorry to fume a little (no actually flames you understand) but this whole surnames as girls names thing can really get on my nerves sometimes! :)
