For what it's worth, -mh- in Scots Gaelic makes a -v- sound. Mhairi = Vahri, Mhor = Vor. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the actual base names/words don't have the -h-, which only appears in the vocative (when calling a person by name rather than just saying the name).
The -mh- spellings seem to be used sometimes because they look distinctive, exotic, cute, whatever, and pronounced as if the -h- didn't appear. Perhaps the same applies here?
