Nozomi 希望 Laurel (prn. Laurelle... 'cause it sounds better/classier that way)
Replies
The Laurel spelling would only be because of my friend's spelling being that way... I do have a bit of a leanning towards the Laurelle spelling... In the mn spot, it matters less (unless she wants to go by her mn), but if it were in the fn spot, I'd definitely go w/ Laurelle. My friend is constantly having to correct people on the prn. of her name.
Exactly.
I like Nozomi Laurel, but only with the pronunciation that you dislike.
Hm. I like the look of this combo, but I'm not sure what I think of Laurel "Laurelle". I suppose it works as a middle name. If it were a first name I'd shy away from it because it seems like it would entail and endless lifetime of "LOR-el?" "No, lor-EL" and "lor-EL, spelled like LOR-el" etc. I do like the names and meanings together though.
That's why I'd consider writing it as Nozomi Laurelle.
