Aspen
What do you think of Aspen for a girl? It has grown on me. It's only #300-something in total but does make the top 100 in some states. Do you know any?

I have Aspen nn Penn as a GP for a boy... I don't really like it for a girl.

I think it's really pretty! I don't know any, but I wish I did.

Don't like it as a person's name. I think it should be left on the tree. The 1st syl just gets pronounced too strongly for this to actually be good on a person. Wonder if people who call their kids this give that any thought beforehand.

I've never known an Aspen, but I like it quite a lot. It's a lovely nature name that makes me think of the mountains. I can see why the initial sound might be cause concern for some, but I don't think many people actually think of that when they hear it. I'm surprised that it's rather popular in some regions.

I like it. I think it's one of the more widely acceptable plant/nature names. I remember some girls in 8th grade were talking about how Aspen would be a good name...
I don't think I'd use it for this reason, but I do like it.

I really can't get into this name at all. It just doesn't sound nice to me one bit, especially the "As-" part. I know one girl named Aspen. She's very... unpleasant. She has a sister named Awtum (this spelling...).

Awtum? Seriously?!That if Auful.

Unfortunately, yes. :( I was so excited to meet an Autumn, but then disappointed all in the same moment.

Is Autumn not very common where you live?
Just asking because I like the name Autumn, but it's common enough here that I wouldn't be excited to meet one.

No, Autumn is virtually unheard of here. And this sighting doesn't even really count because the girl in question was just visiting her sister. She's from the States.

I love Aspen but for a boy. It's male sounding to me. Though it is nice for a girl too I just much prefer it on a boy

I think Aspen is pretty. It's no-frills feminine. It has a very cool sound. I know one and she's about 5 now.

I don't know any. It makes me think of skiing and yuppies even though objectively I think it's pretty.

I actually really like it, which is surprising as it's not really the style I usually like.I like the soft sound it has and I think it's really short and sweet. I also think Penny could work as a nickname. The only thing I don't like is the "ass" sound at the beginning which could be problematic.
