nms, but ok and a nice change from Ethan, Aidan, etc. Don't like Albie. Bertie's ok, I guess. Just Al or Bert would be better though.

I love Bertie as a nickname. I think cutesey nicknames like that are more acceptable in the UK, where names like Alfie, Archie, Charlie etc. are really popular. I probably would only use Bertie when he's small and then call him Al when he's older.

Albert is just fine on any age. Albie is the usual short form where I live, and I find it very trite. Bert, or Al, would be vastly better than Bertie.

I just watched "The Count of Monte Cristo" so I'm digging it lately. I think I prefer Bertie to Albie.

Totally awesome. I think any "old-man" name is completely adorable on a baby/little boy. I've really started liking Albert more lately, too. It's such an honest and friendly and kind name, and it has a little bit of a Christmas-y feel to it.I dislike Bertie, and Albie isn't that great, either. I would use Al for a nn, but generally no nn at all.

I like Albert. I don't like the cutesy nicknames. I'd probably call him Al if I called him any nickname. Al is awful on paper, but in real life I think it's just fine, and not precious and childish like I think Albie or Bertie is.

I think Albie is really cute, I would consider using it. One of the characters on Real Housewives of New Jersey has a son named Albie.

I love it because it's my grandfather's name. It's sturdy and reliable, like the man himself. :)I think Albie is cuter than Bertie. Ally is also a good NN.
