Clare is good; Alice is springily Oz; Ruth would work for me; pity that Louise has too many letters for you; Mary would be a nice surprise; Cecile is pleasantly cross-cultural but "long"; Daisy is trendy but cheerful; Helen is a nice take on Ellen! That said, I think I'd go for Joy.
I keep thinking of this and then forgetting it again: Christine + Ellie could become Christelle! I was at school with a very pleasant Elizabeth Christelle Margaret, known as Christelle to this day, so length need not necessarily be a factor, though admittedly she had a single-sylalble ln! I know it's close to your former handle, but that's not a bad thing either.
Of course, without knowing the truth about that there surname, it's impossible to judge sound and rhythm, but you two can do that for us.
