From your use of the Aubree and Aubrie spellings, I take it you are considering it for a girl. I can't follow you there. It's all boy where I live. Weirdly, I once taught a Kim whose school nickname was Aubrey; he accepted it happily enough.

I absolutely adore it for a boy only. It's within my top three for boys. I really dislike that it's being used on girls now, and I would guess by your spelling options that you are thinking about it as a girls' name. I would still go with the original spelling either way.

I love Aubrey, but only on a boy. With so many other choices for a girl it makes me sad to see this name change gender. And I would only spell it Aubrey, either way.

It's becoming common here. I know two in elementary school, and there's one in my nephew's class, too. I prefer Aubrey.
