I agree about the image it gives. I like it. Someone I know has a friend called Ember, and I think it sounds perfectly nice.
Ember and Ezra don't match well IMO, but I don't think the sounds are too similar for siblings.
I wouldn't put two word-names together as a combo. It conjures weird literal images for me.
Ember Ottilia is nifty. For me it'd be Ember Odilia though.
