I think if I heard the name Pallas, I'd hear it as "palace" - Persis sounds like "purses" but intonation can fix that more easily, so I think I prefer it. And I can unfortunately picture a little girl named Palace, so that's a bit cringeworthy.
The actual name first reminds me of The Raven, as it was perched on a bust of Pallas. It's a decent literary reference, though I guess it depends what you think of Poe.
