I like the sound of it. People might think that it was short for Victoria, but then again, it's close to Gloria, which is a full name, so it doesn't sound completely like a nickname.There's also a chance that people will call her Tori by mistake because Toria is an uncommon name and they might have trouble remembering it at first. When uncommon names are close to popular names, people tend to confuse them with similar names that are more popular, but if you really love Toria, I say go for it. It's not that complicated of a name. Most people will be able to catch on.

I would imagine that most people would assume it was a nickname for Victoria. Nothing wrong with it, though.

One of my friends goes by Toria - Her name is Victoria but nobody ever calls her that. Alot of people just think her name is Toria. It works :)

Not really into it... Makes me think of doria... which is a common food here that I think is an attempt at Italian or something...
