It's much less popular than it used to be, so a Heather born these days probably wouldn't have to worry about sharing her name with classmates. The only thing is that she would have a name that is popular among her parents' generation, so she might not like having a "mom" name. Despite that, I like the sound of Heather, and I like the fact that it's a nature name. I'd like to meet a little Heather.
