Blaidd is amazingly awful. Blade would have made me think of the weapon, which is a curious choice for a child's name but seems to get across the point that the parents watn to get across. Even though the pronunciation is the same, he double 'd' in Blaidd makes me think 'bladder.'EDIT: Thinking about it a bit more, could it be some sort of Welsh variation of Blythe? I very much doubt it, but it would be better than a bastardization of Blade, at least.
