Re: Saxon
I don't like it. Not only do I think "anglo-saxon" immediately (and then my mind goes "WASP!"), I picture one of the species of aliens from K.A. Applegate's Animorphs books. There were plenty of odd ones, including the Yeerks, Andalites, and the Hork-Bajir, but the creepiest ones were the Taxxons."The Taxxons are a species of centipede-like creatures with many-segmented bodies which they drag along the ground at a rapid rate. Born with an eternally voracious appetite, the Taxxons have been known to eat their own dead. The Taxxon's red, teeth-rimmed mouth gives it maximum chewing ability. The Taxxons live in complex catacombs which have been designed for them to slither through. The Taxxons have been infested by the Yeerk Empire."That, unfortunately, isn't the prettiest of images to hear with the name Saxon.Saxon Harris really appeals to me, of the three you've listed--I've really liked Harris lately, even though I picture Harris Tweed of the Thursday Next books. It's short but kind of dashing, and much more interesting than Harrison.Array
