Medea

One of my favorites! I pronounce it either [mə-DEE-ə] or [mə-DER].
I love it! Okay, she killed her kids, but I still think she was pretty badass :P
I've heard both pronunciations, and I prefer ma-DAY-a.
(I had a high school teacher who said it was only me-DEE-a, but the teacher I have this semester says it's either, so I'm sticking with me-DAY-a).

I like it. I think it has a chilly, dark elegance to it. Medéa would be a lovely twist as well (though I think the actual French version is Médée?).
The mythical Medea for sure is pretty heavy, but I don't mind the association. I'm kind of odd that way I guess.
