Edward nicknames.
A friend of mine is called Edward, and everyone has always called him 'Wood.' I never noticed it wasn't very common because I was so used to it. Personally I prefer it to Ed.Do you prefer Ed or Wood? Or Ned, for that matter?xx

I love Ned! I really don't like Wood; it sounds kinda silly to me.

I personally hate all nn for Edward and similar names. I am in love with the name Edmund and would love to give it to a son; however, I loathe the idea he may prefer Ed or Ned or and other. I keep it as a mn only.Wood though is weird...but I will say it is better than Ned and much better than Ed or Eddie.

I like Ned and Ted, but I prefer Edward without a nn. Wood is a little raunchy, but it's still kind of cute, particularly for an Ed Wood fan.

I don't like any Edward nicknames - it's one of the reasons I would never use Edward.

I like Teddy. Ned is my favorite of the 3 you listed. I guess Woody could be cute too.

I don't like Wood and don't see how it can really be a nickname for Edward specifically. It also seems incredibly tease-worthy! I don't like Ed, either. Or Ned. I like just Edward, or if anything Ward or Ted/Teddy.

I prefer Edward without a nickname. If I had to use one, I would probably go with Ted or Teddy. I like Ed better than Ned.I've never heard of Wood as a nickname for Edward before. I like Ed better than Wood, but I think I prefer Wood to Ned.

Hmm. I've never heard of an Edward "Wood" before, actually! I like it. I don't know if I prefer Ed or Wood, it would just depend on the person and which fit them better. I also like Ned. I don't like Ward or Eddie as much.
