I don't much like Sabina, because I always double take, thinking it's SabRina. Because I'm more used to that, Sabina sounds incomplete to me.I did go to high school with one Sabina. She was Italian, and very pretty.I don't like Sabine; I don't like hearing the word "bean" in it._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"I couldn't imagine somebody like Osama bin Laden understanding the joy of Hanukkah."

Reminds me of...The book 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being.' One of the female characters was named Sabina. I think it's a O.K., but I prefer Sabrina.

I like it, but I would spell it Sabine. I know a girl named Sabine, pronunced the same way; her father came over to the US from Germany. She's a Sabina Michaela (mee-cah-eh-lah for her, IIRC).Sabina Lisette
Sabina Winifred
Sabina Ursule
Sabina Milena
Sabina Bernadette
Sabina Felicity
Sabina Wren
Sabina Grey
Sabina Brigitte
Sabina Verity
Sabina Katharine
Sabina Trellis
Sabina Philomel
Sabina Marin

Hey, Sabine was my German name when I took German in eighth grade (pronounced sort of like, Za-bee-neh if I remember correctly). I like that and Sabina, and now that you've inspired me to look it up I like it even more... cool origin. The names Darcy and Marie always comes to my mind when I try to think of combos, and they'd both fit. - chazda

I think I like it better than Sabrina but only because it doesn't sound quite as trendy or cheerleader-ish and I know an actress with this name who played one of my favorite female roles. :)
