Actually, Lil-Larni is like the kind of scab or insect bite that you can't help scratching. Lil seems to be missing a ' so that it would be like Li'l Abner, and larnie (or larny), where I come from, is a slang word meaning 'posh' - a BMW would be a larny car, for instance. Like posh, it's a bit pejorative ...
Lilianne Tiger isn't much better. Rupert the Bear and Princess Tiger-Lily do spring to mind. Oh well, Lucy Isabel and Lynsey Alison got lucky.
