I think Bree looks like it should be a nn for something. I like Brie, though. I've known a couple (not short for anything). Brígh is pronounced similarly (just roll the "r" pretty much) and is an Irish name that I like.

I never thought I'd like it, but it's growing on me. Wouldn't use it myself, but I'd certainly love to meet a little girl with the name.

I just think of the cheese - it's like having a child called Cheddar! I suppose it could be OK as a nickname, but I'd never use it myself.

It's ok. Doesn't excite me, but pleasant enough. I kinda like the name Annabree that combines Anna and Bree though on their own, neither excites me much. I do like that Bree's not overused though and that would be a point in its favour.

Don't care for it. It reminds me of cheese and the sound isn't really appealing to me. I tend to like girls names that have a softer sound.

I like it as a nickname. As a given name, it makes me think of brie cheese. Plus it is a little cutesy.
ETA: It also seems very 90's to me since that is when Brittany and Brianna (and all their variations) were very popular.

I prefer Briege, it's the anglicized version of Brid.

I like it. mostly as a nickname for Breann/Brianne etc.

I love the name Bree! It is my best friend's name! Her full name is Breanna, but she goes exclusively by Bree and hates being called Breanna. I can't use it because it would get confusing, but I'd love to meet someone named just Bree.

It's okay. It's not really my style. I'm showing off my inner nerd, but it reminds me of the town in Lord of the Rings. XD

It also is one of the most common names for female halflings in Dungeons and Dragons.

I like it but I think many people don't. I've posted about Bree in the past and got a lot of "I like it as a nickname for Brianna". I hate Brianna.

Brie cheese. Sorry, that's what comes to mind for me. It should bring Brigh ("bree") to mind but it doesn't. :-/But I have no problem with Bree as a nn for Sabrina or Gabrielle or something similar.ETA: Huh. Look at that. Bree is the Anglcized form of Brigh. I learned something. I still don't like the Bree spelling and would use Brigh. What about Breda?
