For Marnie, I have no idea except maybe Margaret or Marguerite. I have seen the name Marnie before, on both genders, actually. As for Georgie, I LOVE it, but only as a nn, of course. I love several George- names, incl. Georgette (my mn), Georgia, Georgina, Georgianne, Georgiana, Georgine, etc.
