I think Maeve is lovely but pronounced MAYV. MEEV makes me think of "skeevy". I would be worried about pronounciation issues if I ever used it but using it as a middle name would solve that.

I like it, but I pronounce it MAYV rather than MEEV. I would probably use Evie as a nickname, just because I use any excuse to use Eve or Evie, I love it!

My cousin has a dd Maeve Rosaleen. Maeve Elizabeth and Maeve Anais (French "ah-nah-EES" pronunciation) are my stock combinations.

It was my top name for a long time but I'd now only use it as a middle name. I still love it, but being one syllable I just can't use it as a first name. I pronounce it MAYV and the MEEV pn makes me cringe.
