Nathan/Roman
Do you think Nathan and Roman are too close/similar sounding for brothers?

Nope, not at all! In fact, I think they are great names and would be good in a sibset. I always think that as long as the stressed syllable of the names is different, it's okay if there are other syllables that are similar.

I think they're okay. Sharing a common ending is all right with me if the names are distinct in other ways.

I like them both. I don't think they're that similar - they both end in -an but I don't think it's a problem because they're not really similar in any other way.

I don't like the rhyminess so my question is are they easy to tell the difference when (for example) you're yelling across the playground. I am having a hard time answering the question myself, as sometimes I think yes, and others I think not.But I think it'd be confusing, maybe even frustrating for the boys if they always thought they were being yelled for when you wanted the other. A way around this would be nn's and not to use their formal names so much, or to use the Nathaneal suggestion.

Could be a bit annoying. Could have Nathanael to make it a little nicer flow and less matchy.
