I like Zoe, though it's not a favorite name. I'd pronounce Zoe and Zoë (hold ALT and type 0235 on the key pad) the same, but I'd pronounce Zoé more like zo-AY. Zoe is the only spelling I like. I detest Zooey. If something is zoo-like, it's zooey, as in "Clean up! It smells zooey in here."
If forced to pick an alternate spelling, I'd weep bitter, angry tears and then pick Zoey. I honestly can't believe both Zoe and Zoey are in the Top 50. That's not too common for me, but, yes, it is a lot of little girls answering to the same name.
I would choose lovely Daphne over any of the others. It's my favorite and, even if it weren't, the others don't work for me. I already have a niece named Phoebe, I hate Chloe, and I think Zoe sounds awkward with my son's name.
