I love Jody for a boy, but I'm not a huge fan of Jory. I'm immune to "dated-sound-ness", so no, I wouldn't think it's dated. Maybe, it's just because a know a 3-year-old named Jody. I say that Jody is still usable for a boy nowadays! I love it. I love most "feminine" boy names though. I definitely prefer Jody. I'd love to meet a little boy named Jody.
