I hate Octavia mostly for that "Oc-" sound, so I think Ottavia is a huge improvement. I don't like Otty/Ottie at all, though.

The best nicknames for Ottavia come from the second part of the name: Tavi or Tavia.

I much prefer Ottalie or Octavia. Otty is pretty bad.

I think Octavia is gorgeous. Ottavia feels awkward; I have to pause & think about how to pronounce it. Otty or Ottie makes me think of Audi. Not a fan.

I love the sound of it. My issue is that the spelling automatically makes me think 'otter'. Not that otters aren't cute and all, it's just...an otter. I'm iffy on the nicknames too. I think they sound a bit too close to the word odd. I worry about what if the child has a major awkward phase?

Like thename, hate the nickname.
