A friend had a little girl today. Sophia Lynn. Nice enough name, but awfully common nowadays. I think she may run into a lot of Sophias throughout her life. In fact I think she may run into a lot of Sophia Lynns throughout her life.

Sophia is such a pretty name. I don't even mind that its common. I feel like Lynn is letting this combo down, though. I like that Sophia is super girly, so pairing it with Lynn kind of brings it down a notch which is too bad. Makes the combo boring.

But Sophia is such a beautiful name! And she can be a Sophy if she wants. Or Phia or Fia. Or even Fifi!

Poor girl. Well she has a pretty enough name, just a really common one. I know I hate seeing any people with a variant of my name for the sake of- "What? There's a Nicolette/Coletta here?!" which I'm really not used to, I thought my name was at least decently uncommon but I still see it- I can only imagine how many Sophia's she'll meet!
