I would love this name to death if it weren't for this awful relative I have named Edith. Edie is adorable, but I'm afraid it will be constantly mistaken for Eddie, which I dislike. It would be great if Edith became popular.

I don't think Edith needs a nickname at all, but if you must, Edie is quite cute.

I love Edith, especially with the nickname Edie.

Edith would be Mr. Pie's top choice if we had a daughter. I like it a lot. I prefer Edith to Edie - far too many -ee names in my family already! - but I don't hate it.

Think I prefer Edyta with nicknames Dyta or Edie

I love Edith, it reminds me of fresh green grass and daisies. It's really sweet but mature and strong as well. And Edie is just wonderful.

I adore Edith! It's one of my absolute favorite names -- I hope its popularity doesn't skyrocket.

I never liked this name. I don't like nickname either, because it sounds too masculine IMO.

I think Edith and Edie are lovely. I'd actually love to use the name Edie, but in Arabic there's a word that sounds nearly the same which means hand and as my DH's side of the family speaks Arabic, it's a no go for us.

Edith is a sweet, dignified sounding name. I rarely encounter little Ediths these days, so to me, it sounds refreshing. I prefer it without a nickname, but Edie is cute.

I've thought Edith felt fresh and adorable for several years, and because of the Edie nn especially I am really surprised it isn't more popular. It has all the right stuff to become trendy, so I assume it will catch on any day now.

I like Edith and it sounds quite young to me due to the BBC Radio 1 presenter. I also love Edie and I think It fits in with other names around at the moment i.e Milly, Molly, Maisie, Lily etc
