Philippa & Isolde
What do you think of these two as a sister set? These were two names I loved a kid, I thought they had the most wonderful meanings and were so romantic. I'll grant that they are a little hifalutin together... but what if they went by Izzy and Pip?
I like the combos Philippa Ellen and Isolde Louise for 'em.

I honestly cannot express my love for them enough. They are absolutely darling.
Philippa is currently my favorite girls name. Isolde...not crazy about it.
I really dislike the nicknames, Pippa though makes a world of the difference but they don't need it. They make a good sibset, and the middle names have the same amount of blandness about them.
I love them together! They're romantic and pretty and can be a little ethereal. Izzy and Pip are very different though, I'm not sure if I like those nns particularly. They sound good together, and I'd definitely like them if I met them, but if I could brainwash these hypothetical daughters of yout into choosing different nicknames, I probably would. Isa and Pippa? Isa and Piper? Issy and Pippa?
Philippa Ellen is good. I like Isolde Louise too, but I think Isolde Louisa or, better yet, Isolde Luisa would be a little more cohesive. Louise is just not quite romantic enough for Isolde IMO :P (although if you're going for usability, maybe toning down the romantic-ness is a good thing. Maybe.)

Philippa similar if not identical to the full name of Kate Middleton's odious sister, "Pippa" and the fact that I heard about a Philippa (or possibly Pippa) who went to some part of Greece and found out to her horror that her name is a slang term for some kind of sexual act... it kind of buried Philippa for me. I've known some nice Philippas and it isn't tacky, but... eh... I just don't find it pretty.
Isolde is lovely, though. And Izzy and Pip are adorable. Again, I agree Izzy Isolde is a nice alternative to various Isabelle variants and Pip is utterly charming.
I dislike Ellen but it isn't over used, and I automatically find Louise a place-holder name, but if there are specific reasons, why not?
All in all, the combo isn't tacky. I may not like Philippa, but they're pretty okay together, I think.

Oh my word, yes!
Since hearing it around the board, I've recently really come to appreciate Phillippa. (Inception didn't hurt either.) I'm not sold on Isolde (hehehe) but that sister set it amazing. A.maz.ing. And it is delightful to imagine an Izzy who is not an Isabel/Isabelle/Izabella/Isobel/etc. Not to mention the glorious nature of Pip! Nicely done, very nicely done indeed.
Isolde Louise is nice. I'd go Phillippa June, but that's just me.
