Bianca
This is one of my favorite girls' names. I think it is very pretty and sophisticated. It is one of the names I would seriously consider using. However, I read a while back that Bianca is considered "chavvy" in the UK. That still kind of bothers me, but then again, I don't live in the UK.What do you think of Bianca? What kind of impression does it give you?

I've got a Bianca niece who is the very essence of chavviness, though we don't really have chavs in South Africa.I suppose it's better than Blanche, which reminds me of nuts. But just about anything would please me more.

I love Bianca, it's very pretty. I don't find it chavvy at all, since you don't like in the UK don't worry about it!

In America, it's great. Just need a new Pokemon generation so Bianca is no long that blonde Pokemon trainer who always chooses the Pokemon that is weak to your starter. In Britain... Chav alert! Chav alert. At least the chav is a dying species of supposed street thugs. Most chavs aren't thugs but that's the perception of the chav to the general public.

I think it's gorgeous. It's a teeny-bit in the "trying too hard" category, but I still think it's lovely. The only Biancas I know are either Brazilian or are Spanish-speaking, so I don't think it's that common in the general populace.

I don't think Bianca is at all 'chavvy', and even it were, don't let it put you off! The whole chav stereotype is barely used now, at least where I live.
Bianca makes me think of Shakespeare and it reminds me of fairytales since Snow White is Biancaneve in Italian (how pretty!). I love the way it looks but the sound isn't as nice, especially not the -anka at the end. But it used to be a favourite of mine and I still like it a lot.

Rickaaaaay!Yes unfortunately the Eastenders character is the first person I think of, which isn't great. If you aren't from England it's probably not a problem though.Even without this association, I don't particularly like the sound of Bianca - I think it's the hard "ka" sound at the end, I just don't thinkit's very feminine.

I've taught a couple of Bianca's over the years, and it's a name I like. I don't know what "chavvy" means, but since you don't live in the UK, you shouldn't have to worry about it. I say go for it.

I quite like it. I've never met one, nor heard of one apart from Bianca Jagger, so not sure why it's supposed to be chavvy?

I'd say because of the soap EastendersBianca Jackson in a Cockney accent, so wrong

I guess I was reading too many of the comments in the comment section.

Bianca is savory without tasting like bitterness. In other words, it's an enjoyable name that you don't have to think to hard to see the beauty in it. I like it, but not enough for myself. It gives me the idea of a fashionable woman, in her 20s, with her dark hair and eyes to match her name. Exotic.
