Malin

Well ...
It's my name, obviously. According to a name book, it was the most common name in my part of Sweden the year I was born, and I used to find it sooo boring when I was younger and tired of always being Malin A. I'm more fond of it now though.
I'm Malin Karolina, but should have been Malin Katarina if certain events hadn't come between, and I have friends Malin Katrin and Malin Sofie.
Some combos I would like better:
Malin Rebecka
Malin Salome
Malin Dorotea
Malin Isadora
Malin Fredrika

I haven't heard it before and I originally thought it was masculine, so I'm surprised to see it's feminine. It sounds more like a surname to me (I have a friend whose last name is Malinin) so I can't imagine it as a given name, especially on a girl.
