I've never liked Nathan. I have a hard time pinpointing why, especially since I love Nathanial enough that it was one of my top choices when I was naming my son. It might be that horse-like NAY at the beginning of Nathan that torpedoes it for me.On the plus side, Nathan is a sturdy, uncomplicated name that would probably never cause a boy a moment's trouble. There's something to be said for that. It goes really well with Thomas (and Margaret, too).
