Titus
I am loving Titus today. Titus Delshad or Titus Desmond :) Seems as though Titus is gaining in popularity (397) but still relatively rare. I like that it is getting more popular because of it's slight teasing potential. Though on another site, only 5% of people named Titus actually reported disliking their name. That indicates to me that the teasing factor must not really be all that serious. WDYT of Titus?

My 18 year old nephew is named Titus Montana. It fits him so well. We did give my brother in law and sister a hard time about potential nicknames, he's gone this far unscathed.

What a great combo! Thanks for posting about your nephew. This seems to be a name that the potential for teasing far outweighs the ACTUAL teasing. Most people with the name like or love their name. Good enough for me!

Tight assI thought of that ONCE, just ONCE, and now Titus is ruined forever for me. It upsets me because I think Titus is really dashing and modern in a neo-primitive sort of way. And I like the story of Titus Andronicus. Titus Andre would actually be a really debonair combo!

I like it alot. But working in a hospital I often think (Hepa) Titus.

My husband mentioned the hepatitis thing too. LOL

I like it too, but that cracked me up. :D

Titus AndronicusAll I can think about is the play by Shakespeare, and him baking his enemy's sons into pies...

I love the name Othello as well and would use it as a middle name. The Shakespeare connection only adds interest for me. He did know how to choose great character names. :)

Ditto and **Spoiler Alert!**http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6x-WvcdUmAAll that aside, though, I can't say anything, cause I love the names Andronicus and Andrónico haha.

I know a ten-year-old Titus and he carries it off in such a "cool kid" way that I can't imagine him being teased about his name.Titus Desmond is spectacular!

TidusThe main character in Final Fantasy X, and he's obnoxious, and he probably ruined that name for me. It just seems whiny and obnoxious and spiky yellow hair to me now.But it is pretty steely, which is a redeeming quality. Titus Delshad is quite nice.

I don't really like it. I find it quite harsh sounding and not at all nice for a small child. It sounds like a boxer or wrestlers name... maybe because its close to Tyson?

Titus is quite a 'strong' name. That doesn't bother me so much in a boys name. He could always go by Ty/Ti I suppose.

Our next door neighbors have a little Cairn terrier with that name; don't think I can get past it. Also brings to mind tight ass. Though the nn Ti is cool. Maybe Cyrus instead?

Cyrus is good but I prefer Titus. Cyrus seems a little weak to me for some reason.

Ty-Poet?I once knew a young mother who named her son Ty-Poet. She said she was inspired by the baggie commercial "just tie it and bag it." I always thought Ty-Poet was a really cool name.

I think Titus is awesome. I would definitely consider using it if my husband were on board. Titus Desmond is a great combo. What teasing factor?I've met one Titus in my life and he was in the 50s.
