Bridie
Saw a little girl named Bridie today. I think this could be the next cutesy name (after Tilly, Milly, Poppy.. etc). WDYT of Bridie?

An ex-boss of mine had a very cute little Bridie, and it definitely grew on me after I met her. It seems to be going down on the charts, though - 36 in 2007, 26 in 2008 and 21 in 2009.

I don't particularly like it. I think because it's too close to the words bride and bridle. I do think if I met someone called Bridie, a little girl, I might think it was cute though.

I know a Bridie, she's not a great association for the name but it's still sweet either way.

I think Bridie is super adorable! I prefer it to stay as a nickname, though, but I could see it following the cutesy name trend in the UK.As someone mentioned, it does look really close to Birdie (which is also a really cute nn!). I swear someone here is named Brydie, and she said her parents spelled it that way because then it wouldn't get confused with Birdie. I like that, but I think I'd spell it Bridey first to avoid that confusion. I like that spelling best.

My sister's MIL is Bridie (from Bridget). I absolutely adore Bridie as a nn. Sooooo cute. I'm delighted you met a young one. :-D

I really don't like it. I have really bad associations with it. It is my least favourite version of Bridget/Bríd.
