I love it, but I wouldn't use it because it's so associated with the song.

Love, love, love it. :-)I like both the American "-tine" pronunciation, as well as the British "-teen" one. Do you also like Clemence (for a girl)? It's an underrated name, to me. Also, Clement (for a boy.)

I love it. I like the pronunciation clem-en-TEEN for it is softer to the ear.

Pronounced "KLEM-en-tyne" or "KLEM-en-teen"? Either way, I don't like the "Clem" sound. Clementina is nice though, perhaps because there's less stress on the "Clem" part I dislike._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"If you want to make a sound like James Blunt singing, simply take one fork, and drag it down a greasy plate."

I love it (though I like Clementina more), I pronounce it clem-em-teen rather than clem-en-tien

I love it, but I wouldn't use it myself. I would be thrilled to pieces if someone else used it though. :-)

Aesthetically I like the name. Unfortunately it makes me think of tangerines and drowning.

I like it, but I'm not so fond of the nickname--Clem. Sounds like phlegm.
Wasn't she the name of that character in the great movie, Garden State?

Clementine sounds very chic and elegant. For me, it conjures up images of Winston Churchill's stately wife, Clementine. The pronunciation 'clem-en-TYNE' is ok, but I think the 'clem-en-TEEN' pronunciation is all the more darling and the reason I find this name so wonderful._____

It's rather pretty but you know the song that almost everyone will sing to her (or at least think of) when they first hear her name "My Darling Clementine". It's not a bad thing but I'm sure she'll get sick of it really quickly, also there's a variety of oranges called Clementines.Other than those objections I really like it. Clemmy would make a cute nickname. :)

I think it's an okay name, but I wouldn't use it. However, if I saw it on another person I wouldn't have harsh thoughts about it.
I think Cybil Shepherd has a daughter named Clementine.
