Zelda and Parisa
What do you think of Zelda and Parisa for girls? (not necessarily as sisters)Thanks!

I love Zelda. Parisa is similar to the brand name of a hair-removal product I use, so I'm not really into that one as much. But yeah, Zelda!

I don't like either, sorry. Zelda just makes me think "Legend Of..."; it sounds very sci-fi. Parisa just looks strange to me, and I'm not sure about the sound either. I don't like Paris for a girl and maybe Parisa is just too close, I don't really know why I don't like it!

um yesZelda is objectively the best name in the worldI thought we'd all agreed to thatParisa's nice, too, though not really my style. It's maybe a bit too stuffy, but it has potential.

I love both names! Zelda especially appeals to me.

They're both beautiful, although Zelda always makes me think of the Zelda games (especially the ones parodied on Youtube).

There is a relative of mine named Zilda. I used to hate that it was so close to Zelda because of the video game and now I love it. I vote Zilda and Parisa!

I like Parisa. It's pretty, feminine and delicate without being overly so.Zelda is so much fun, but because of the videogames I can't imagine it as a given name. As a nickname for, say, Griselda, yeah sure. But I don't particularly like Griselda. Maybe I can warm up to it just for the nickname Zelda.

I do not like them at all.

Zelda is an eccentric, old-fashioned, chic, underused gem. It sounds strong yet stylish. Parisa is beautiful. The only thing is that people might be tempted to pronounce it PAR-i-sa (like the anglicized pronunciation of Paris with an "a" at the end) because of its similarity to the place name in terms of appearance. They would make good sister names.

Parisa is interesting, but It's odd to me for some reason. I might use it in a combo as a middle name however. And Zelda, I do like, but the video game ruined it. Stupid gamemakers, stealing beautiful names and putting them into video game haha. I do hate that though.

More like"Awesome gamemakers, for naming their iconic princesses in homage to the alluring Zelda Fitzgerald"though I don't disagree that the video game is the first thing people think of when they hear the name

Hahaha xD true, depending if you actually really liked the game or not. I guess it's not the worst association, it could be worse. But I know if my name was the same as a video game character, I'd get sick of hearing "Oh, cool, like that blonde-chic in The Legend of Zelda!" after a while haha. But maybe that's just me.
