Philomene and Fenella
I've recently started liking both of these name, what's your thoughts? Which one do you prefer? Thanks!

I don't like either.
I would probably choose Fenella if I had to use one because you could use normal nicknames like Ellie or Ella.

Fenella.
Fenella has outdoorsy charm and energy. Philomene sits around indoors when she isn't tidying the church.
I'm going to be a bit fussy. ;) I prefer the look of Fionnuala to Fenella, but I have trouble looking at the first and pronouncing it as the latter. Also, when I say it, it sounds very close to "vanilla" in my accent.
I prefer Filomena to Philomene. I just like F's and frilly girls' names that end in -a.

Philomene
Fenella is nice, though.

I prefer Philomène, because it's a family name for me and I just think it is totally beautiful and poetic and silvery. Fenella is much more sprightly and energetic, which I like as well, but I loved Philomène first, a long time ago, and she has my heart :)
I like the sound of Philomene, but I can't stand the way names with PH in them look. however, Filomene doesn't look right either.
I've tried to warm up to fenella, but it reminds me of Fennel, and I'm not a huge fan of things containing fennel. I think I like the version Finola better.

Fenella! (eta)
I do prefer Fionnuala, but Fenella has a totally different feel to it so I can kind of keep them separate. Fenella is so smooth and creamy and sweet. I've actually never played around with it much, but will have to! I did make the combo Elizabeth Fenella long ago and it's always been a favorite. I might get back to you with some more combos.
Philomene is nice, but I much prefer Philomena. I love Philomena. It's very motherly, but has an energetic, fun side. Philomene wants to be Philomena.
ETA:
I'd pair Fenella with something that plays up its domestic side, but still keeps it bright:
Fenella Marjorie - ooh, violets in a little whiteware pitcher!
Fenella Annag
Fenella Bonnie
Fenella Marsaili
Fenella Royse
Oh yes, love them all.
And Fenella Hyssmaye came to mind. It's more serious and academic, but with a great herbiness to it. I make up words.
