I think both names are lovely and I don't think they're too dated to use at all. Freya is my favourite of the two.

I really like Rosalind, but I'm afraid that I can't say the same for Freya.

To be honest, I'm not really fond of Rosalind. I prefer Rosalinda. I love the name Freya.

Freya was at #21 in the last UK chart and rising. I liked it a lot, when there were less of them about. It's light and pretty-sounding, but the goddess thing gives it a bit of extra strength.
Rosalind is really sweet - there's something kind and friendly about it. I don't think it's dated, it's too unusual.

Are you kidding, Freya is THE hot name in the UK right now, or so it seems! Not dated at all. And I don't think of Rosalind as dated. Maybe Roslyn, but Rosalind is so old its new again, to me.

I prefer Rosalind, because Freya just doesn't roll off the tongue for me. But I still think it's hella neat to see.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Two of my favorite names. I think I might prefer Freya, but it's pretty close. They're both so lush and feminine, I don't think they're too dated at all.

I prefer Rosalind. Some non-name nerds might think that it's made up from Rosa and Linda. I know of a four year old with the mn of Bertha, so old fashioned names are coming back. The only one I can think of is actress Rosalind Russell. The only Freya I know of is from mythology, but I'm not familiar with the stories like Greek/ Roman myths.

I love them both. I don't think Freya is at all dated, it's really quite popular amongst young children here. Rosalind might be considered more dated but I know someone aged 15 called Rosalind so I think it's fine.

I absolutely adore Rosalind! It's near the top of my names list. I was surprised to learn that it hasn't charted (at least in the US) since the late 1970s. It's classy, beautiful, and I'd love to see it make a comeback. It's a literary name too -- Shakespeare used it in As You Like It. It can fit a woman at any age, and I don't think it's dated at all.

Freya seems to be somewhat popular around here, but I don't see the appeal -- at least not in that spelling. I don't like Freya very much, but I think it's absolutely lovely when spelled Frea. Here's what I wrote on Frea's page: "Though far less evocative of the Norse goddess, this is is definitely my favourite spelling of Freya. For a reason I can't explain, it reminds me of flowers, fresh air, and springtime. I think it's beautiful."

Frea feels different than Freya -- it's warmer and more energetic, while Freya leaves me cold. I also like Freja, which feels more soft and delicate than the other two variants.

I can never get into Rosalind, even though its a pretty name. I really don't like it when people pronounce it RAWZ-uh-lind (as opposed to sounding like Rose at the beginning). I completely and utterly adore Freya. I don't think either of them are too "dated".
