Umm mostly the super-classics. Love James, Richard, Henry, not so fond of any of the nicknames. Although interestingly I love Thom but hate Thomas. And ALSO interstingly I am more enthusiastic about the nicknames of classic girl's names than the full thing - love Eliza, Bess, Dolly, Dottie, Madge, etc. but bored by Elizabeth, Dolores, Dorothy, Margaret, etc.

Emmeline - I don't really like Emmy
Peter - Pete just sounds . . ew
Sebastian - I'm not too fond of Bastian, but it could grow on me
Cecilia / Cecily - I wouldn't want to use Ceci or Cici
Arabella - if she was called Bella, people would probably assume her name is Isabella, so I'd prefer Ari or something like that
Abigail - I think the full name just sounds so much nicer than AbbyI'm fine with some nicknames, just not these. There are probably more that I can't think of right now.

My most glaring one is Frederick. The full form is sooooo haaaandsome, but all the nicknames I can come up with are really dull and not nearly as charming as Frederick. Fred? Freddie? Rick? Bleh. I guess it's for the better, though, because I know a guy whose middle name is Frederick, and he's the most unpleasant person I've ever had the privilege of knowing, to the point where when I'm writing I always seem to end up comparing him to Mephistopheles.I have a similar issue with Friedrich - the full form is so lovely, but Fritz just has an annoying sound. It sounds like electrical sparks, and if something's on the fritz it means it's not working. Also, I can easily picture Friedrich as a human, but I have a harder time with Fritz. To me, Fritz = Schnauzer.Natalia is another one. Natasha and Talia just strike me as annoying.Heinrich - all the diminutives sound like hiney, like your rear end, and Harro is just weird.Ulrike - love this name, but I think Ulli is ugly. Sometimes I toy with the idea of Ute or Uta as a NN, but their lack of relation to each other puts me off.

Pretty much everything. All the boring classics-- I love Thomas, William, James, Richard, Theodore, and even Robert's ok... but I can't stand any nicknames for them. Will I can live with, I think Dickie is cute for a little boy, but the rest? Blah. I know lots of guys with names like Michael and David who always get called Mike and Dave whether they want it or not-- for some names it's inescapable!Girls: I like Margaret, but can't stand Meg (sounds like Mega-) or Maggie (sounds like maggot), Marg, Margie and Madge are even worse!I like Tamara a lot, but Tami is awful imho.

My name, Amanda. I cannot stand Mandy! A few of my friends call me Manda, but I think that might just be because they're too lazy to say the extra A, and even though there's little difference between it and Mandy I still like Manda Benjamin: I hate Ben or Benny
Margaret: Maggie, Marge, Greta, whatever. Yuck. Well, I could probably stand Greta
Magnolia: Maggie is blech for me. I'd use Nolie or Lia

Adelaide - Cannot stand Addie.
Samantha - Not a fan of Sam or Sammy. They will always be boy names to me.
Alexandra - see Samantha. Not a fan of Allie either.
Abigail - I don't mind Gail, but I cannot stand Abby.
Eleanor - don't like Ellie
Elizabeth - Really don't like Liz/Lizzie/Beth. Eliza, Effie, and Betty are lovely...but I feel like they can stand alone.
Victoria - Would use this in a heartbeat if I didn't think she would be destined for Tori or Vicky.I know there are more, but those are the big ones.

Vincent. I like Vincent, it seems dignified. But Vin, Vinny, Vince, all seem like mobster names. I'd never use it, because how does a guy named Vincent avoid being Vinny or Vince?

I have a friend with a baby boy they only call Vincent, to my knowledge. I don't think it would be too hard to avoid a Vincent getting a nickname.

I actually can't think of any names where there aren't any nicknames I like. Common nicknames I dislike, certainly, but I've always been able to find a nickname I do like. Or at least even if there isn't a nickname I like, I also don't hate the nicknames, too.JK, Andrew. Love Andrew, dislike Andy and Drew.
