Full name for Lettie/Letty?
I think the nickname Letty is really cute, but I'm not a fan of Letitia. Any suggestions for a full name it could be short for?

I used to know a Colette who got called Lettie.

Really? I'm glad to hear it's not just used in 1920s novels :)

There's also the Italian version, Letizia, which is one of my favorites. I've also heard Scarlett, and also a lot of -let ending names, like Violet and Juliet.

Do you mean you've heard the nickname Letty used for those names? I have only seen it in 1920s novels etc. I'm encouraged to think that it is being used now too!

Norah! I didn't know you were one this board. I love your website! It has been my favourite name site for ages, and where I found most of my name list.Anyway :) I love Scarlett and Violet, and like Nicolette. Ayelet looks pretty, but I haven't really come across it before - how do you pronounce it? Like eyelet?

How about Loretta / Lauretta? It's an underused, under-appreciated name with a touch of glamour and sass. Letty / Lettie would be a cute nickname for it.Other ideas:
Lisette
Lynette / Lynnette / Linette
Linnet
Marcellette
Nicolette
Colette
Lucette
Lucetta
Violet

Wow thanks for all of the suggestions! I have never liked the name Lynette, but I actually really like Linnet (probably from Death on the Nile). Lisette is another interesting one that I hadn't considered yet. And I LOVE Violet!
