Did you hear about the couple that named their baby Like? as in Facebook 'Like'. I heard about it on the news.
It actually doesn't annoy me as much as this sort of thing usually does. I can sort of picture a little girl named Like.
What do you all think? Is it annoying? Weird? or do you 'Like' it?

It's not that bad, because
Lieke seems to be a common Dutch name. I guess she can pretend it's a spelling variant of Lieke and pronounce it LEE-keh. At least she has some possibilities, so it's better than being named Facebook. It's still stupid, though. But she could do what I suggested and if she really wants to pronounce it like (haha) the word at least it sounds somewhat like (hahaha) Luke :P

I saw this and I was like 'wow thats crazy!' and I'm all for unusual names but this is too much! I showed my dad and he thought it was crazy too.

Oh goooooooddd... that just makes me wince. I don't know, maybe it's because it looks passingly like Nike or Lykke or something which makes it look slightly name-like if you squint, but there's no denying that 'to like' is a very common English verb and using it in an Anglophone setting makes one look a) stupid and b) like one has a speech impediment.

I've seen worse, but it's nothing I would ever use. And I can't help it, but I also think of the Swedish word "lik", meaning "corpse".

It's better than Facebook
The Egyptian baby, although I suppose Facebook has a better "reason" behind her name than Like does.
Like is pretty to look at, but the sound doesn't do much for me.

I think it sounds like a boys name, because it's so close to Luke.
