I didn't used to like Elisabeth at all. It looks strange to me, and I'd pronounce it with an s and not a z. But I've come to appreciate it in certain combos where it does work better since it looks softer, or in some cases culturally it would make more sense.Ellabeth makes sense as a nn, but not really Bethany since that's a different name... but Beth is cute!
