Basil, Isaac, Keturah
I just located these images online of some of the graves of my direct ancestors, which has rekindled my love for these already favorited names. I thought they were pretty neat. I have derived many name combos from walks through cemetaries, an activity I adore.
Basil (1747-1823)
Isaac (1788-1873)
Keturah (1796-1877)Basil is father to Isaac. Isaac and Keturah had seventeen children, including Marian, the seventeenth, who is my great-great-great-grandmother.

I like all three. Basil sounds so dignified and gentlemanly, and Keturah has been growing on me lately. It's a gem of a name. Isaac is too popular for me, but I like it nonetheless.

That is a really nice trio. My old admiration for Isaac is bubbling up again.

Wow! I really enjoy all of the names.

Cool. For some reason those names seem to go together, even though their styles are all different.
I had a hedgehog once named Basil (it was pronounced like the herb though).
I can totally see Marian Keturah as a combo.

That's a great find, and they're great names, too. Looks like Isaac and Keturah had good long lives - nice to be from sturdy stock!

Basil
Sarah Alice
William
Steven
Keturah
Catherine
Ginny
Virginia
Edward
Marion WashingtonDid the first Basil die before Basil L. was born? If not I bet that would have been confusing...

I see they used George twice and possibly Virginia twice as well.... That seems fairly common for that time period. I can't imagine naming one child the same first name as one who passed away though...

Yes, it appears so, from the data that Basil L. was born after Basil had died, the same goes for the Georges.
