Kind of off-topic..my daughter's name is Carol, however, many of my in-laws, European and Middle Eastern, believe that her actual name is Carolina, pronounced as you intend to, and that Carol is just her nick-name. In fact, she's ocasionally said tat she somewhat prefers Carolina.
