Darina
I found this name while browsing through the Irish names (although it can also be Slavic). I thought that it sounded pretty. What do you think of Darina? Know any good combos for it?

It's one of those names that always catches my eye when I see it. I like the sound of it (pronouncing it the Irish way). I think I notice it because it reminds me of Darunia from Ocarina of Time. :)Hmm...
Darina Harriet
Darina Lalage
Darina Gwendolen
Darina Cecile
Darina LavenderIt does have a sort of lofty, sophisticated feel, so I tried to pair it in a way that played that up. It's a hard name to pair.

I've never cared for Lavender as a girl's name. But Darina Lavender really is striking. Well played. :-)

It's not a favorite. But it's still a nice change of pace. Hmmm. How about:Darina Maeve
Darina Sinead
Darina Jessie
Darina Lilias
Darina Charlotte
Darina Alice
Darina Consuelo
Darina Elin
Darina Glynis
Darina Montserrat
Darina Consolata
Darina Eilis ("EYE-leesh")
Darina Pearl
Darina Sylvie
Darina Isibeal ("ISH-bayl")
Darina Michaela / Miguela (I have a thing for mixing Irish and Spanish names, can you tell?)You like? :-) ETA: Just doing these combos has made me like it more. At first I was equating it with Davina, which always sounds like someone forcing the word "divine" into a name. I know it has nothing to do with "divine" and is in fact a feminine form of David. But it always gives me that feeling. Anyway, Darina was suffering from that association. But I've started to give it more room to breath. It could really grow on me. :-D
