North
North have been om my mind a lot lately. It started out as a GP but it has really grown on me and I really like both the look and sound of it. I like it for a boy only.
What's your opinion on North as a name for a boy? Any combo suggestions?

I like it as a boy name too, but I think I'd only ever use it as a middle name. It's still very GP.
Alasdair North
Desmond North
Westley North

I actually love it! I'd only ever use it as a mn. I think it goes with quite a lot of things, actually. Richard North, William North, Aethelred North, Charles North, Bjarni North, Everett North, Torbjorn North, Peregrine North, and Oliver North are a few I just thought of that I like.
Wasn't that a movie starring Elijah Wood?
That was my first thought & I don't even remember what the movie was about.
I guess I am a name nerd if I can remember names from a movie but not the plot :)

I think it was about a kid who was traveling the world, looking for new parents. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was the plot. All I remember was, it wasn't Elijah's best film.
I like it okay. It's got a very nice sound and is kind of cool, but it makes me think of Oliver North, so it seems weird as a first name and too connected to him, not even in a good or bad way, just sort of there.
North Raymond and North Tristan came to mind.

I like North too, but I prefer Northwest as a fuller option. It seems a bit more antiquated and dashing while North seems a bit hippy-trendy. But, still fun - I'd love to meet a North!
I'd pair North with something solid, stodgy and regal. Something like
North Aloysius
North Lawrence
North Albert
North Clarence
North Leon, North Leo
North Cornelius
North Wilfred
North Ignatius
North Wulfric
North George
North Hugo
North Baxter
North Geoffrey
North Montgomery
North Ender aahhhh just kiddin
Northwest Smith was a pulp-paperback space hero by an early female science fiction writer, which is probably also why I like Northwest. It's daring and flippant.

Ha
Not at the idea of North as a name because it seems fine to me. But because there's a guy named North Clark who owns a used car sales chain around here, and his commercials are horrible. The association is a bit too strong for me yet to think of North objectively!

I knew a guy named North, sort of. He was a friend of my sister's. An eccentric sort of person, tall and quiet seeming but really witty. It comes off as quirky, but if it's in your family's comfort zone I think it's perfectly usable. Surnamey, maybe. Very masculine IMO.
Combos are hard because they always make North sound like it modifies the middle name... like a street name. I'd probably just pick something honoring, something without a lot of hissing sounds (F, TH, S, CH, SH) in it because it'd sound lispy with the th in North. From your list, North Benedict sounds pretty good.

I could see this as a boys' name. I actually like it. It does make me think of Nolan North (the actor) but that's not a bad thing.(:
It's a nice name.
Maybe North-Emile ??I dunno
