Escher?
Any opinions? I'm watching a TV show, and the baby boys name is Escher. Yes like the artist. I personally really like his work. So outside views? Please tell me anything. :)

Not a fan...
I've heard of someone with it as a name, too, and I think it's kind of neat. As long as it has a reason... like a family surname or parents were big fans of the artist. I like the look and sound of it a lot.
This name is our 2nd choice for our next, if he is a boy. It has very special personal meaning to me. So I like it :)
It has a nice sound to it. My only reservation is that it's quite similar to Esther, so people might think it is a girls name? That's what I thought when I first saw it.
Personally I'd only dig it as a guilty pleasure, but you'd be my hero if you used this. :)
I'm a huge Escher fan too, btw. And I really like the sound, even thought my judgment is probably clouded.

Just imagine decorating the room of someone (any age) named Escher. The posters! The friezes! The fun!
That said, there was a corrupt politician/tycoon in South Africa 30+ years ago whose given name was Eschel. In English, everyone pronounced it 'ESH ul', but in Afrikaans it was 'ES kul'. Perhaps there could be similar ambiguity about Escher?

Why not?
It's kind of like Asher, but cooler

I feel that way, too
There's something off about Asher. It's too trendy and youthful.
But Escher is much more suave and intelligent.

I've never thought about using Escher as a first name before, but I'm finding it surprisingly awesome :)
