Myron..
OK so I made a poll about Myron, but apparently the way I worded it is too overbaked for the polls crowd and they're snubbing it, only a handful even voted. So, uh, Opinions, please help me with that sinking feeling I'm having, and vote on it?

Oh, and if it's too hard? just please pick any answers ... it's anonymous, after all. Myron is so rare in my experience. I think I have heard of only one. But somehow it seems familiar, not rare. Is it just the company name? I was wondering if people have any vague images about it, or just reactions to how it looks/sounds. Please comment here on Myron if you have anything to say about it... and if it's too boring to say anything, please give me one other name that you think is about equally uninteresting.

I just voted. I don't like it. I picture an older man who is cranky & boring. Also just the sound of it is nasally and not very attractive.

I picture either an old man, or an African-American. Or both.

I find Myron to be extraordinarily nerdy. I don't like it.

It reminds me of Milton.Names that are familiar for some reason even though you don't hear them that often.I think Myron is pretty cool, honestly. Unexpected and wonderfully geeky - but I still prefer my beloved Milton.

I voted in your poll, just now, and chose "fusty old man."Don't know why, really,I've never known a Myron. Byron, now, that's a romantic name, not that I'd ever use it. The association with the poet, I suppose, makes it "romantic" for me. Earl. That's an uninteresting name. Just as an add-on..both my sons have fairly uninteresting names, (Joseph and Peter) though I like them very much. Our last name is a 4-syllable Arabic name, unusual for our area, so we didn't want to be too far-out in first names.

I kinda like Myron but I guess it's considered a 'very old man' name. A Friends episode comes to mind where Amy (Rachel's sister) tells Rachel she is in a relationship with an older guy and says his name is Myron. Rachel assumes he must be VERY old. At least that's what I remember but I haven't watched that episode in a while...
