Ridley
What do you think of this name? Don't worry, it's a GP of mine along the lines of the Japanese names. That is, middle name material only.

I'm quite fond of Ridley & I have a female Ridley a couple generations back in my family tree :)

Reminds me of Radley, as in Boo.
Reminds me of Ripley, as in Believe it of Not.
Neither of those is really bad or really good. Hmm. Yeah, I think I like it. Or don't mind it at least. Which gender were you thinking? I'd go boy.

It's a GP for me also, mn only, but the Metroid association makes me feel embarrassed to even use it as a mn. (don't get me wrong, I really like Metroid, but the fact I'd be naming a child after a skinny purple dragon-like creature seems funny)

I guess I'll be the first to say, I love it...... as a first OR middle name :)

Ridley makes me think of turtles, since there's a type of sea turtle by this name.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridley_sea_turtle

I know, that also what lured me to the name. The fact that someone had to have named the turtle after themself made me curious.

Reminds me of the Alien movies. It would be okay as a middle name, I suppose.

Me too, although that is Ripley. I keep thinking I prefer Ripley to Ridley tbh.But there is the directory Ridley Scott of course.

Not a fan, as with most surnamey /-ey names, but I can tolerate it as a middle name.

I came across this name for the first time a few days ago when someone asked about Radley as a first name. I prefer Radley to Ridley for some reason. Ridley is okay, as a mn, but I can't say I feel strongly pro or against it.
