A baby girl was named this at a local hospital near me:

Sugar-Magnolia Sunshine

and she joins big brother Cedar.

Magnolia Sunshine would have been ok

Magnolia Sunshine sounds a bit hippie but that's ok with me. Cedar is ok too. But this Sugar is really too much. Sounds like they have not other ambitions for their daughter than that she will be pretty and maybe find a "sugar daddy".

Like Sugar wasn't bad enough, they felt the need to make a combined name? I have no problems with Magnolia, I think it's a very pretty name. And well I don't like Sunshine but I can handle it as a middle name. Magnolia Sunshine would have been ok but Sugar? You're practically dooming her to being a middle-aged waitress with faux platinum hair at a sleezy truck stop.

Cedar is ok I guess.

i love Cedar for a boy! I also love Magnolia, and Sunshine! Of crouse i'm a hippy so...maybe that's why? LOL

I hope she goes by a nn like Maggie. There could be worse names on a boy than Cedar. I actually think it is quite cute on a boy. I could never name my kid Sugar or Sunshine.

Sounds like someone's folks are Dead Heads! Magnolia's a guilty pleasure for me, so I think it could be liveable (nn Maggie) but the rest is too much, even for me (and I'm a die hard DeadHead!)

Sugar for a human being is totally insipid, though. And word names in combo trivialize each other. What is a Sugar-Magnolia, and can you bask in its Sunshine? Hehee.

Oh my goodness! That is way too much! Sugar! I don't think Magnolia is too bad if you live in the Southern USA and call her Maggie and Sunshine I've heard before but Sugar? And her brother's name is Cedar!?!
