Glenn?
Wdyt of Glenn?
I admit, I'm split between two reactions. 1. "Ah! Old man name!" and 2. "Awesome little nature name with an appealing sound"
...and more and more, I lean towards reaction #2. I like lots of names with the "len" sound.
So, wdyt of Glenn? Spelling preference - Glen or Glenn? And wdyt of Len on its own?
eta - I also like the female variation, Glenna. :)

I prefer Glen, but the name itself makes me think of Quagmire from Family Guy and of Crake from Margaret Atwood's "Oryx and Crake." Not the best associations!
I think Glenn is the better spelling.
Although, as a general rule I don't prefer unnecessary syllables.
I can't think of the name Glenn without thinking of Glenn Beck.
That just completely ruins the name for me; however, if it doesn't for you, then it's not a bad sounding name!

IMO, I see Glen as a male name, and Glenn as more of a female name. Kind of like Bryn and Brynn.
I like Glenn on a girl, but Glen on a boy reminds me of a sleazy '80s Wall Street broker.
One word: Beck! That's the only Glenn I really care about!
I like it, and I was going to say I liked Glen a little better until Flare mentioned Glen Beck >:(
I mainly liked Glen because it seems more naturey than Glenn, in the way that Lily is more naturey than Lilly. But I just looked it up and apparently the word glenn was an earlier form of the word glen, so it works.
It is a bit of an old man name, but it is also very outdoorsy.
I think I like Glenna a little better than Glenn, but it's also harder to picture on a young kid.
Combos... I definitely like Glenn Everett; both names are awesomely outdoorsy. Also like Glenn William. Others:
Glenn Padraig
Glenn Wolfram
Glenn Harry
Glenn Morgan
Glenn Donovan
Glenn Edmund
Glenn Caedmon
Glenn Jean-Pierre
Glenn Lachlan
Glenn Edward
Glenn Robert
Glenn Malachy
Glenn Weston
Glenn Llywelyn
Glenn Siarl
Glenn Talfryn
Glenn Evans
Glenn Sandor

I also have 2 reactions:
1. Chrono Trigger (one of my favorite games)
2. Glen Beck (NOOOOO)
Actually, I don't know whether the latter has 1 N or 2. I do like the name, though... I just have to make myself forget Beck exists.

I've always kind of liked it. It's one of my great-uncle's names. I know it could be a naturey name, but I don't think of it that way. It does have a strong outdoorsy feel that I love, though. I don't think it seems like an old man name. I don't think it feels dated at all. I've known at least one Glenn my age, too, so maybe that helps. I much prefer Glenn to Glen. One n looks incomplete to me.
Do you want Glenn combos? I want to go make some, I can post them if you'd like.
I don't really like Len. It makes me think of Final Fantasy X-2. It would be a fine nn though for Leonard or something.
I also like Glenna. I think it's sweet.

There was a Len in FF X-2?
Well, that's what I get for not finishing that game... doesn't bother me though :)
Go wild with Glenn combos! I'm game!

Yeah, wasn't that the name of the chick who was supposed to be parallel to Yuna in some other time and she sang that song on the Thunderplains in that big cut scene?
Idk... I think I gave up on that game about 10 hrs in. I actually really liked the fight system, iirc, but the story? eh.
I agree
I liked the fighting system a lot, too, but the story definitely didn't live up to expectations.
Anyway, you can want Glenn combos now? My favorites I came up with were Glenn Everett and Glenn Hamish. And my Great-Uncle's name is Glen William, which I really like (yeah, I guess it only has one n in it). I knew a guy in college named Will(iam) who had a brother named Glenn and always thought those two names went together well.
