Pearl
What do you think of Pearl and why isn't it coming back as quickly as other "older" names?

I think it's sweet. I can't say I love it, but it would be nice to meet a little girl named Pearl.
I think it's most because it's the wrong shape. Not a fashionable sound. I don't think Opal is doing much better, and I think it has a similar problem.
I hate to admit this, but I might not be the only one - I'm also less comfortable with Pearl because of it having been used in some crude metaphors. Like, in rock music. If you aren't aware of them, bless your heart, I wish I wasn't either.

Pearl is actually one of my tip-top names, and I kinda like that it hasn't been swallowed up by the masses hungry for "fresh new vintage" names. I think it's the "uuuurl" sound that puts them off, and that's just fine by me!

Yes! I think that as well!
I really love the name Pearl! It's so feminine and elegant and I honestly don't know why it isn't making a return either. Maybe we just need to give a bit more time!
I love Pearl. I have no idea why it isn't becoming popular. Maybe it's too short?
I think it's sweet. I love pearls, so good image and association. I think it's not becoming as popular as other older sounding names because there is no cute nickname for it.
